The Family slopes and Main slopes of Luosto are suitable for those who enjoy more relaxed skiing or snowboarding, while the steeper profiles of slopes in the Sunny lift area and Mid slope are suitable for those looking for more challenging runs.
Beginners and the youngest members of the family can safely get a taste of skiing on the Family Slope, where you can also have fun in the tobogganing and Tube Hills.
Freeriders and snowboarders interested in jumps and rails can start at the Mini Park on the Family Slope and, as their skills increase, move on to the bigger Snow Park on the Main slope.
Freeride terrains; Luosto is known for its easy accessible lift powder snow in the backcountry terrain which starts from the top of the Sunny lift on the left. Best known area is called Sunny Gorge (Aurinkokuru) and the area covers all from the Luosto's weather radar to the down of Ukko-Luosto parking.
Just remember that all off-piste skiers/snowboarders are always on their own risk, and you should never go off-piste skiing at your own.
During the day on the slopes, you can enjoy the delicacies and refreshments of the slope restaurant located at the bottom of the Main slope. During the spring, Knööli's big terrace is bathed in the sun.
